Four things you have to know about Indigo Jabal Akdhar

Opening September 21, the launch of Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa represents a landmark achievement as IHG’s first Hotel Indigo resort in the region.

“Our team has poured their heart and soul into creating a place that captures the essence of Jabal Akhdar. Every detail and every experience has been carefully curated to immerse you in the story of this remarkable destination, connect with the local culture and create memories that will stay long after you leave. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the magic of this place. We can’t wait to welcome guests to our neighbourhood and share the wonders of Jabal Akhdar,” shared James Reed, Indigo Jabal Akdhar General Manager.

The Hotel Details

Inspired by the tranquil and picturesque surroundings of the local neighbourhood, the hotel’s design elegantly captures the natural beauty of Jabal Akhdar. The use of earthy tones reflects the rich hues of the mountainside, while intricate patterns and textures are thoughtfully drawn from traditional Omani crafts.

The resort’s architecture harmoniously integrates the colours and textures of the mountain, creating a space that is not only visually stunning but also deeply embedded in Omani heritage. Every detail has been carefully considered to bring to life the stories of the resilient communities that have flourished here for centuries. Once a remote and rugged terrain, Jabal Akhdar now welcomes travellers seeking outdoor adventure, a deep connection with nature, and an authentic experience of Omani village life and terraced farms.

This 173-room retreat offers an exceptional mountain escape, where curated wellness programs and neighborhood-inspired experiences are brought to life through passionate storytelling. Each elegantly appointed room, suite, and chalet boasts majestic views, providing a serene sanctuary with sustainability thoughtfully woven into every detail.
